Mineral oils for enclosed gears.
l CARTER EP has been specially designed for lubricating enclosed gears operating under severe conditions: - level and spur gears - bearings and gear couplings - worm gears.
|Flash Point (in C)||233|
|Pour Point (in C)||-21|
|Viscosity at 100C||11.8|
|Viscosity at 40C||107|
You may calculate the viscosity of the oil at various temperatures based on ASTM D341. This uses the two sets of calibration data that we already have in order to calculate the viscosity at any temperature. You may input multiple temperatures at once, seperated by comma.

I'm not sure what country you are from. If no TOTAL brand is sold in your area there are many alternatives to CARTER EP 100, such as Shell Omala 100 or Mobilgear 627 (look at the right column).
Hello, I am a college student and trying to locate any vendor who might sell the CARTER EP oils. I am getting info on the viscosity needed, but for now, it seems to be enough of a challenge to find out who sells this. I only need a very small amount to lubricate two high speed actuators which are sticking (they are a bit "sticky" when they extend and retract) so hopefully I can find a vendor. Any help would be appreciated.
